initially i wanted to write:
i find the sparkle in my eyes growing fainter and fainter,
the excitement leaking out of my body ever so slowing.
my eyes turning dull and lifeless like those of an old man that has lived for a long time.

but now, after dinner:
the glint in my eyes returning in the presence of great friends,
the free spirit-ness coming back once more.
an all-time high journey along marina,
i'm glad to be able to let go with these people.
