Wild Empire is holding Christmas concerts this December! And WE're inviting you to join us in our merrymaking this festive season!
Concert Details
Christmas At Wild Empire - Hope
Date: 22 December 2007 (Saturday)Time: 3pm & 7pm

Venue: Singapore Art Museum, The Auditorium
Be the idol that you always wanted to be. Better yet: Be your own judge and pick up some haunting tunes from our spellbinding selection of Sacred Classical Choral pieces that we can't seem to get out of our mind (not that we want to). Hear! Hear! Don't be scared. Be Sacred.
Song highlights include G.Allegri's "Miserere", A.Lotti 's "Crucifixus a 8", Bruckner's "Christus Factus Est", G.Fauré's " Cantique de Jean Racine" and the chorally vexing "Natten är framskriden" by Sven-Erik Bäck.
Christmas At Wild Empire - Love
Date: 23 December 2007 (Sunday)Time: 3pm & 7pm

Venue: Singapore Art Museum, The Auditorium
Every choral romantic loves Christmas and even Santa Claus would be impressed if you'd take a tiny break from Orchard Road to enjoy rare Contemporary arrangements of European folk songs and carols for Christmas.
You may already hold your own tune against clashing harmonies, but Wild Empire would love to show you what a romantic you can become; for a truly gifted romantic knows how to spin poetry over six part harmonies. Also, it is our hope to lift some jingle-weary spirits.
Song highlights include B.Holten's "First Snow", M.Lauridsen' s "Sure on this shining night", M.Zuccante's "Like a prayer...like a singing...like a weeping" and Latvian Carols.

ABOUT WILD EMPIRE
In 2005, Wild Empire was created by four young working professionals who suddenly lost their choir but were too defiant to let things be and there begins our journey with many delightful talents. The founding protagonists are - The Engineer (Jacquelyn Foo), A Psychologist (Michelle Koh), A Clerk (Timothy Chionh) and A Choral Conductor (Ong Chiak Yin).We dare thought that with the significant experience running school and alumni choirs for the past decade, the time was ripe to build us a self-funded, non-affiliated choir. After all, there aren't many independent adult choirs around for restless choral detectives such as we.Wild Empire is led by Conductor Ms Ong Chiak Yin. Today we are fortunate to be joined by many young dedicated singers as a 25-member choir.Beginning with Caroling in Dec 2005, Wild Empire had a joint performance with NUS Chinese Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Dr Subramaniam in Feb 2006. In 2007, Wild Empire actively volunteered and oversaw the production of 2 Concerts for 4 SYF choral participant choirs in order that they put up concert performances before the SYF competitions. Thanks to NAC for their respective grants and SAM for their free accommodation, we enjoyed putting up sell-out concerts during both Happening Happenings in September 2006 and Christmas At Wild Empire 2006
