haha i actually pia through scanning the whole morning.
normally it'd take me two days (normal pace=a bit slacking) to finish scanning a whole file, which consists of 2 months of payment vouchers...
(p.s. i can drag for days & days if i don feel like doing it, i luv going on strikes *winks*)
but...
today...
i actually finished aug 2006 and sep 2006 in under one morning!
wee...i broke my own hardworking record!

carrying on, lemme teach u a trick or two in e wrking society (for those who didn't noe alr)

-temp positions only-

1. why slack? so ppl wun haf too high expectations of u
- don't peak right at e start, others will start to think u're superman n give u lotsa shit
- slack for rainy days (ie. so tat even whn u're havin a bad day, u wun fall back too much)

2. shuddup n listen.
- listening to gossips included (so as to add colour to ur boring desk job)
- will enable u to siam most conflicts & politics (or if u're kena scolded, e boss will just end her barking at u aft a while)
- save u the embarrassment of making stupid comments (esp useful if u're not tactful wif ur words)

3. reach promptly but leave promptly too (u may choose to arr early to clock more hrs & get paid more)
- why stay in the boring office when u can partee outside! don't u miss those fun days?!
- unless ur boss reaches late everyday, it's better to set a good record right fr e start
- so u can let everyone noe how 'committed' u are to ur wrk & others might jus praise u ;-)

4. 'enjoy' ur stay thre
- don't try to rush thr all ur wrk. ur wrkload will nvr end
- make good use the resources(eg. pantry! stationery!)
- listen to office jokes or tips tat u might be very useful in the future

5. appeal to everyone (be likeable)
- so that they will dote on u / help u out in times of crisis / offer u things (playing the saint)
- u might jus get several farewell treats (=saving lotsa lunch/dinner money!)

6. don't be a hero
- don't take on jobs handed to u whn they're not supposed to
- open ur mouth to ask whn in doubt (most of e time what u assume is wrong)

7. Observe, be prepared and proceed wif caution

so there u go, a lil' of wad i've picked up tho mebe not accomplished in these 3 mths. do share a lil' or enlighten me some more if u've got ur own experience. cheerios! =D
