oh man! oh yes! oh my gawd! i lurve it! i lurve it! i totally lurve it! our 1st successful 05S18 outing!! only 5 outta 26 were not present . both our CTs were there too!
lalala...we had our steamboat dinner at Turf City...don ask me y...our CM chose e location . but don ask him y too...too many people has asked him tt n frankly, he's quite stumped .
actually u wld think it's a bit early for tuan yuan fan...but since everyone wld be real bz by CNY, we brought it forward...gd decision eh...proven by our high turn-up rate!!hehe
we made our way there at ard 7.45pm though we supposedly set e meeting time at 7...(only hansen was early, he reached ard 7.20...n he gt his parents 2 drive him in!!unfair!!)
n so, we walked in to Turf City...a big grp of us cos we came fr school...but it was not as far as they promised it wld be...we only had a hard time searching 4 e right place...
"Turf City Steamboat" it was called...typical name...n it was isolated fr e main bldg...no wonder we din noe where it was...whn we 1st reached we took up ard 3 tables
then it was quite luan...pple were reaching but din noe how 2 get there...we were collecting money (cos had 2 pay 1st)...i saw sarah (fr choir) n her family there...wad a coincidence!
must say, hansen's quite a gentleman...went 2 'collect' e people reaching w/o anyone asking him 2...plus he paid 4 all our drinks later...wooo~ rich guy here...
oh then his good deed paid off...cos he gt a surprise when some1 turned up! shan't say hu though...guess? n later on i oso went along 2 get ms toh n siew hui...
with everyone present le, we cld finally pull 4 tables 2gether n start our steamboat... i kept myself bz throughout...not sure with wad...just had very few chances 2 sit down n enjoy...
i brought some people in...i collected money...i carried drinks...i walked ard making sure people knew wad was goin on...i joked ard n kpo a little...then my fren (sarah) told me we shld have redeemed our prawns n oysters so i went 2 get them...blah blah blah
in a way, i think i must apologise 2 our CM cos i bothered him a few times during dinner...gt him 2 help mi carry e oysters n stuff...but of cos, must thank him as well
it was quite a pleasant meal...had 2 guys cooking at our table...haha...tt's bong n mingwei of cos...charmaine was gettin cooked by e hot steam...poor thing...n cos i was bz...i din cook but onli ate...haha
there were hiccups durin e whole thing too...our stove caught fire suddenly...shld be d butter n oil thingy...e oysters were all so frozen...cant eat...plus no one dares 2 eat it too...then whn our thing was on fire, sheryl threw 1 oyster in2 it...ingenius idea of hers...though e worker dere tot otherwise...haha...we were laughin lyk nobody's business...
in e end...outta e 48 oysters we gt...if i rmb correctly...only i ate 2...n e guys cooked 3 which they end up playin with...waste food! if they'd charged us for wastage...sure die!
e rest of our food was quite finished...we had mostly meat actually...how did i noe? i saw e whole pot (the guy's table) covered with meat lor...bet they din eat anything else...wah lao... unbalanced diet !
whn we cld no longer consume any more food...not me though...every1 started taking pictures...fr group photos 2 ind ones...*snap* *snap* it was crazy & chaotic but fun!
with our ice-creams (red bean or sweet corn) in our hands, we busied ourselves with our handphone cameras n funny poses...many photos were exchanged n we were all laughin n smiling away...
time flew by jus like tt...soon it was 10.30pm...afraid of not being able 2 catch e last bus home, we rounded up everyone n ended our gathering 4 d night...shiok sia...this outing...one of d most unforgettable i must say...
those goin 2 cck left wif ms toh (she had a car)...jealous...some took d shuttle service (to clementi)...e rest walked back 2 e main road (that's me)...i sorta sent kaiyin back...watched her boarded 176...then reached hm ard 11.59pm
all oily n dirty e outing had left me...but satisfied n happy i felt at e end...one of e most successful n interactive outing yet...i'm counting on sth like this yr end...05S18 all e way!! =D
